How it works

Turn connected financial data into repeatable reporting and analysis.

MosoFin organizes live QuickBooks data in permission-scoped, read-only financial data workspaces. Create unlimited workspaces for entities or clients, then connect up to five authorized QuickBooks entities from the same data-source type within a single workspace. Each workspace has its own separate QuickBooks allowance. Select one or more authorized workspaces for analysis. MosoFin currently runs the workflow in Claude without giving its tools permission to alter the underlying books.

The workflow

Six steps from workspace to reviewed answer.

  1. 1

    Create or select the workspace

Create or select the workspace for the relevant entities or client. Each workspace keeps its own permissions and activity history.

  2. 2

    Connect QuickBooks

Connect and authorize up to five QuickBooks entities from the QuickBooks data-source type within that single workspace. A new workspace has its own separate five-entity QuickBooks allowance.

  3. 3

    Select workspaces

Select one or more authorized workspaces for the question.

  4. 4

    State the request

State the reporting period, accounting basis, comparison, and output needed.

  5. 5

    Review the support

Review the supporting reports, records, calculations, and activity before using the answer.

  6. 6

    Save the Skill

Save the workflow as a Saved Skill when it should be repeated with current data.

Workspace capacity

Each workspace has its own per-source allowance.

The limit is applied independently to each workspace and each permitted data-source type:

  • QuickBooks today: Workspace A can connect up to five authorized QuickBooks entities. Workspace B can also connect up to five authorized QuickBooks entities.
  • Stripe after release (future-source example): Stripe is a planned data source and is not available yet. If a released plan permits Stripe, one workspace will be able to connect up to five authorized Stripe accounts, and a separate workspace will receive its own allowance of up to five Stripe accounts.

FAQ

Common questions

How many workspaces can I create?

Every plan includes unlimited workspaces. Create one for each business, related entity group, or client that needs its own permissions and activity history.

How many entities from the same QuickBooks data-source type can one workspace connect?

Up to five authorized QuickBooks entities from the QuickBooks data-source type within a single workspace.

Does a new workspace have its own five-entity allowance?

Yes. Every new workspace has its own separate allowance of up to five authorized entities from each data-source type permitted by the selected plan.

When Stripe becomes available on my plan, how many Stripe accounts can I connect within a workspace?

Stripe is a planned data source and is not live yet. Once Stripe is released and permitted by your selected plan, one workspace will be able to connect up to five authorized Stripe accounts, and each separate workspace will have its own five-account allowance.

Can I select more than one workspace?

Yes. Select two or more authorized workspaces for cross-workspace analysis. Cross-workspace analysis is not a formal financial consolidation workflow.

Can MosoFin change the books?

No. MosoFin uses read-only access and has no tools that create, update, delete, post, send, or pay through QuickBooks.

Can I save a Skill for reuse?

Yes. A Saved Skill is a reusable instruction or workflow that helps Claude make the same type of request consistently. It does not grant new permissions or change which data MosoFin can read.
